MCYC is so blessed to use the fantastic facilities of the Tyn-Y-Nant Christian Centre; a wonderful location which God has used in many amazing ways over the years. We have heard so many testimonies of people whose lives have been changed through weeks of camp over the last 75+ years, and we look forward to hearing more stories as the years roll on. We want you to play a part in making that happen, and that’s why we run MCYC Sunday each year.
MCYC Sunday is a time when churches around the Merseyside area (and beyond!) spend time talking about the work that God does at MCYC, working and transforming the lives of young people. It’s a chance when we ask church members to consider how they could support this work.
We’ve posted out a pack of flyers with some of the information below on as welll as business cards with the donation details on.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT MCYC?
VOLUNTEER
By volunteering for MCYC, by giving financially or by supporting us in prayer, you enable children and young people to continue encountering Jesus through our weeks of camp and the events we run throughout the year.
You could volunteer as a group leader or part of the catering team at a week of camp, or you could take part in a Refresh Week where we keep the site safe, well-maintained and looking its best!
We also have vacancies on our team – please prayerfully consider if these are roles you would be willing to volunteer for.
FINANCIALLY
You could also support us financially either as a one-off donation or by setting up a monthly gift – speak to your Church Link for more information.
We’re working to freshen up the site alongside completing repair work and hope the next time you are at Tyn-Y-Nant you’ll notice some of the changes we’ve made!
Maintenance Work
We’re adding mirrors to each of the pod bedrooms and need around 25 at £13 each.
Around the Site
We plan to buy some new long lasting resin benches at around £550 each and are currently working on installing electric car chargers.
Shop
We’re looking at replacing the ice cream fridge for around £500. The shop itself also needs a spruce up externally.
Previously
In the last few years donations have helped us repaint external walls, replace the marquee for the worship tent, repaint the pod accomodation, install the TVs in the dining room, replace the mattresses and pillows and much more…
PRAYER
We believe in the power of prayer and we’d love for you to support us in prayer throughout the year, using the prayer points below or however you feel the Lord leads you.
- Pray for those attending as campers this year, that they would meet with God, go deeper in faith and that lives would be changed.
- Pray for those attending at staff this year, that they would be equipped ready to serve with enthusiasm and energy.
- Pray for the Site team as they prepare Tyn-Y-Nant, ensuring it is safe and ready for this season, and for volunteers to attend MCYC Refresh.
- Pray for the teams working behind the scenes to prepare MCYC 2026.
- Pray for God’s provision, that the finances and resources required would be available to continue the work of MCYC.
ATTEND
Another great way to support MCYC is just to attend a week of camp as a camper – we’re really looking forward to seeing what God will do at each week of camp this summer!
If you’re aged 8-21 book as a camper!
If you’re a committed Christian you can sign up as staff for a week of camp in a variety of roles!
